La prototipizzazione pedagogica di edifici ecologici avanzati e biocittà presso il Valldaura Labs

Le nuove generazioni di designer hanno grande responsabilità ma anche l’opportunità di mettere in campo azioni di mitigazione e adattamento al cambiamento climatico globale, all’inquinamento ambientale, alla perdita di biodiversità e all’esaurimento delle risorse non rinnovabili. Il contributo illustra come l’Institute for Advanced Architecture of Catalonia – Valldaura Labs (VL) fornisca ai futuri professionisti gli strumenti interdisciplinari per realizzare una simbiosi tra il mondo costruito e quello naturale, attraverso un sistema formativo che impiega la prototipazione e ‘l’apprendere vivendo’. VL è un living lab situato nel Parco Naturale di Collserola, a 10 km dal centro di Barcellona, il cui Master in Advanced Ecological Buildings & Biocities (MAEBB) si conclude annualmente con la progettazione e realizzazione di un edificio autosufficiente. La metodologia didattica e i progetti realizzati al VL si possono annoverare tra le migliori pratiche di riferimento per realizzare paesaggi ecologici e tecnologici olisticamente integrati.
