Svelare la complessità della transizione circolare per il settore del mobile imbottito

Il contributo indaga le strategie che il Design può attuare per ridurre l’impatto ambientale dei mobili imbottiti, intervenendo sugli elementi costitutivi, sulla scelta dei materiali e sui metodi di assemblaggio e dismissione. L’analisi della letteratura sul tema evidenzia come alla notevole importanza del settore degli imbottiti all’interno dell’economia italiana non corrisponda un’adeguata attenzione verso la circolarità e la sostenibilità di processi e materiali, durante l’intero ciclo di vita del prodotto. Per questa ragione il contributo presenta il percorso di ricerca del progetto Circular Sofa Platform, evidenziando la necessità di definire un nuovo paradigma di piattaforma per l’imbottito, rispettandone gli elementi di complessità e rendendolo rispondente ai requisiti di circolarità e sostenibilità, parte integrante dello scenario di sviluppo sostenibile per la filiera produttiva contemporanea.
