Islamic Memory: the Sound of Water

Many elements of Islamic culture are in the Western world, as the colorfulness, the geometric iconography, green and water. Starting from the Castle of Zisa in Palermo, where the water plays a symbolic role, the article presents a building built in the 1980s in Palermo, showing its references to Islamic memory, focusing on a monumental fountain that recalls that of the Castle of Zisa, but it has an unusual material peculiarity.
