Povertà e infrastrutture idriche – Un caso studio nell’Africa Subsahariana

Abstract

L’Organizzazione Mondiale della Sanità attribuisce al termine ‘salute’ un significato ampio, tra pace e giustizia sociale (WHO, 1946), pertanto la salute è un diritto umano fondamentale. Anche con lo scopo di garantirne ogni aspetto sono stati promossi gli Obiettivi di Sviluppo Sostenibile, per l’integrazione tra sostenibilità economica, sociale e ambientale (UNEP, 2015); essi sono universalmente rilevanti, benché connotati da forti specificità applicative per ciascun Paese, infatti alcune aree marginali sono afflitte da uno svantaggio dovuto all’indisponibilità di risorse fondamentali, ad esempio l’acqua, in maniera endemica e acutizzata dai cambiamenti climatici. Il contributo propone alcuni degli esiti di una ricerca del Dipartimento di Architettura dell’Università degli Studi Roma Tre finalizzata alla realizzazione di infrastrutture dedicate a sanità, alimentazione e acqua, in autocostruzione, nelle aree marginali dell’Africa Subsahariana.
