Nelle aree ad elevata pericolosità sismica la sicurezza delle scuole dipende non solo dalle prestazioni strutturali degli edifici, ma anche dalla capacità di riconoscere e utilizzare correttamente i dispositivi di protezione e le procedure operative. In tale ottica il contributo presenta lo sviluppo di un Immersive Learning Environment (ILE) come infrastruttura digitale sociotecnica a supporto del Life Saving Furniture System (LSFS), sviluppato nell’ambito del programma di ricerca interuniversitario Vitality. L’ILE integra realtà virtuale, contenuti a 360° e realtà aumentata, basandosi su un gemello digitale statico dell’aula. La ricerca adotta un approccio di ricerca attraverso il design e una sperimentazione pilota con un modello ibrido. I risultati preliminari indicano una migliore comprensibilità del sistema LSFS, un profilo di usabilità complessivamente positivo e segnali promettenti sul piano della risposta procedurale.
